Length of trip
6.5 miles in 1 day
Season
Mid-April through early July. The water flow usually peaks in winter and again in late spring and early summer. High water in spring can be hazardous, so boaters should be extremely cautious and prepared for a swim. Since the air is damp and chilly and the snowmelt water cold (40-45F), wet suits are recommended
Weather
The climate and temperature extremes are typical of Washington's West Cascades. From late fall through spring it's rainy, while in summer skies are intermittently clear. From April through June daytime temperatures range from 50-70F, dropping to 35-50F at night |
