Aaron hails from Fort McMurray, Canada. As most
Canadian kids, Aaron grew up playing hockey and a
variety of other sports.
At the age of 12 he would receive his first guitar
and it would change his life forever. He immediately
began singing and writing songs. This is when music
enveloped his life and became the axis around which
everything else revolved.
Aaron's early influences range from hard-hitting Bon
Jovi and Bryan Adams, to the music of Don Henley,
Shenandoah and Garth Brooks.
By the age of seventeen, he
had his first hit on local radio station. The next few
years he continued to hone his skills going to
songwriting camps and seminars. He also began to write
with local songwriters, while he took voice lessons and
began playing gigs in Canada.
Eventually, Aaron worked
his way up to opening for such notable acts as Marty
Stuart, Kevin Sharp and Doug Supernaw.
At the age of twenty-one, a demo of Aaron's songs,
which were recorded in Edmonton, Canada, caught the
attention of Nashville producer Chris Farren. Mr.Farren
is best known for producing Deana Carter, Kevin Sharp,
Paul Brandt and Boy Howdy as well as writing such hits
as "If I Were You" (Collin Raye), "She'd Give Anything"
(Boy Howdy), "That's The Truth" (Paul Brandt) and "How
Do I Get There" (Deana Carter).
Chris and Aaron became
fast friends and soon realized through working together
that they saw eye-to-eye on musical direction and had
similar songwriting styles. Chris signed Aaron to his
first publishing deal with Windswept and they have been
hard at work ever since.
Aaron and Chris have
collaborated on many songs to date and one of their
finest is offered as Aaron's first single "Love Changes
Everything". This positive uptempo song soulfully
expresses real life scenarios woven with threads of
fresh, hip sounds in not only Aaron's rich vocal style,
but in an amazing production.
Aaron's talent and drive is undeniable and has
allowed him to make great strides in Nashville. He
continues to build his catalogue of songs with such
writers as Paul Brandt, Michael Dulaney, Gary Burr, and
Robert Ellis Orrall.
