• The R&B trio 3LW, otherwise known as Three Little Women, consists of Naturi Naughton, Kiely Williams and Adrienne Bailon. The soulful ladies each come from a diverse background, which is evident in their infectious music.





• 3LW's presence in the music scene is due to the initiative of Kiely's mother, Michelle Williams (not to be confused with the Dawson's Creek actress or a third of Destiny's Child). She knew her daughter wanted to pursue a singing career, and held auditions to find the other parts of what would become a group.

  Kiely's mother chose Naturi and Adrienne -- who displayed obvious talent -- to form 3LW, and became the group's manager (she has managed other groups before as well).

  Kiely Alexis Williams (also known as Keylay) was born July 9, 1986, in Alexandria, Virginia, but was raised in New Jersey with her three sisters. She has her mother to thank for her love of music, as her mom is a music manager. Kiely grew up with music blaring from the recording studio into her house, and it rubbed off on her from a young age.
  Although it seemed like her original passion was acting, her singing talent was evident when she was acting in a TV pilot produced by Robert De Niro, at the age of 5.

  Also hailing from New Jersey is Naturi Cora Maria Naughton, born May 20, 1984. She displayed her powerful vocal chords when she belted into song while singing with her Baptist church choir at age 5. Naturi is most influenced by fellow New Jersey native Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey.

  The Spanish flavor of the trio, Adrienne Eliza Bailon was born October 24, 1983, and is of Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian descent. Even as a real little woman, Adrienne would perform for her family and friends, with her sister.
  Despite growing up to the music of Celia Cruz and La Lupe, and citing slain Tejano star Selena, Marc Anthony and La India as her favorite singers, Ricky Martin holds a special place in her heart as she sang with him in 1999 when he asked her choir to sing background vocals while in concert at Madison Square Garden.
• watch out, here they come
  2 years later, and 3LW are performing for MTV's TRL tour in July 2001, on the same bill as fellow soulful threesome Destiny's Child, poppy quartet Dream, sexy Jessica Simpson, and diva Eve.
  3LW's self-titled debut album was released in 2000, and so far has spawned the tremendous hits "No More (Baby I'ma Do Right)" and "Playas Gon' Play."
  Besides their music and videos receiving loads of airplay, 3LW appeared in an episode of Tania on Nickelodeon, while their single "Til I Say So" appeared in the Kirsten Dunst cheerleader flick, Bring It On.
  Thanks to the pop R&B and hip-hop infused tunes, and powerful, harmonious melodies of Kiely, Adrienne and Naturi, it's clear that 3LW will surpass their name to become three super women.
