SplashPhoto for Palm OS 4.4 and SplashPhoto for Windows Mobile Pocket PC 4.42 By William| Reporter Date: 12/06/2006  Splash Photo 4.4 turns your Palm and PocketPC handheld into a mobile digital picture frame. Simply load your favorite images with the included desktop software and you're ready to view images while on the go. Images can be viewed by thumbnail, individually or in a slide show. You can rename, categorize and attach notes to images, and even beam images to your friends. Features: Simple, fast, high quality image viewer Desktop image editor lets you crop, rotate and enhance images prior to installing on handheld Supports color and black/white handhelds View images in a Slide Show Beam images to other handhelds Customizable List View and Thumbnail View View JPEG images stored on external memory card Conduit installs images directly to external memory SplashPhoto on the Palm and Pocket PC Browser When you launch SplashPhoto you will see the image Browser. The Browser displays your images as thumbnails or in a list format. Click on the View icons on the bottom left of the screen to change views. List View -- Displays images in a customizable List format. You can choose which columns to display in the View Preferences dialog. Columns may be resized by dragging the left/right edges of the column header. And you can sort by any column by tapping the column header. Tap again to reverse sort. List View Large Thumbnails -- Displays thumbnail images and the file names.

Categories -- Use the Category menu on the top right to filter the view by category. You may assign images to categories in the Category dialog or the Image Details dialog.

Slide Show

Tap the Slide Show button to automatically display each image in the selected category in sequence. The delay between images is set using the popup menu next to the Slide Show button. You can also set the Slide Show to display images in random order or to automatically run when your handheld is idle and charging in its cradle in the Slide Show Preferences dialog. Once in Slide Show mode tap the screen to stop the Slide Show and return to the Browser.

Image View Menu Options

In Image View, tap the Menu Icon to display the following menu commands at Palm. [Tap and hold (keep contact with the screen for a full second after tapping) in order to bring up menu options at PocketPC.]

• Image Details -- Displays the Image Details dialog where you can view and edit image details (see Image Details below).
• Delete Image -- Deletes the selected image.
• Beam Image -- Beams the selected image to another Palm OS device. The recipient must have SplashPhoto installed on their handheld to view the image. Note: JPEG images may only be beamed to a device with VFS external memory.
• Beam Application -- Beams the SplashPhoto application to another Palm OS device.
• Note -- Displays the Note dialog where you can view and edit notes.
