Toshiba partners up with Microsoft to offer you a choice of
exceptional Windows Mobile business tools at the leading edge of
technology. PORTEGE G500 and G900 devices offer exceptional
functionality, globe-trotting connectivity and the latest in
biometric fingerprint technology.
Toshiba Information Systems (UK) Limited, Mobile Communications
Division has announced it will use Windows Mobile as a platform for
its range of Smart Handheld Devices to be introduced in Europe.
The first devices in the range, to be introduced
at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona Feb 2007,
will come equipped with a suite of new features as
well as email and internet connectivity, while
benefiting from the flexibility and familiarity of
the Windows Mobile operating system. Committing to
use Windows Mobile software in this range of devices
will provide Toshiba customers with straightforward
compatibility with the most commonly used operating
system and with the familiarity and ease of use
demanded by business professionals.
“Over a decade pioneering technology in mobile
computing has given us an insight into the
importance of making mobile technology easy to use,
so it is accepted by a wide cross section of users.
Business professionals want the mobile version of
heir office to have the same intuitive interface
that they are familiar with in the office and this
is most effectively achieved with Windows Mobile. It
was an obvious choice to extend the relationship
with Microsoft to the Smart Handheld Device range,”
commented Peter Ford, Marketing Director, Toshiba
