ICQ: Basic ICQ
ICQ Mode
You can set different kinds of "modes" to show your status when you are online.
Then your net friends can send you messages and respond based on your ICQ mode.
If you have registered ICQ 95/98 old versions, only two status modes will be
shown: "red flower" - offline; and "green flower" - online. You just need to
double-click the flower can see the full contact list again.
If you have installed ICQ 99 version or above
(ICQ 2003/ 5.0), you can change from "Simple Mode"
(same as the above) to "Advanced Mode" and enjoy the status functions:
Step 1: Click ICQ User Menu
Step 2: Choose "Advanced Features"
Step 3: Select "Switch to Advanced Mode" at the new window
Find the following options to suit for status:
1. Online: Connect to ICQ
2. Offline: Disconnected to ICQ
3. Free for chat: User are now available for chatting
4. Away: User is away
5. N/A: User was extended away
6. Occupied: User is very busy at this moment. Urgent message only!
7. DND: User is terribly busy. Do not disturb, please.
8. Privacy: Invisible to others

ICQ Detect Agent
ICQ Detect Agent can help you turn on the ICQ automatically while online. In
case your ICQ does not work due to the network, you should re-connect it again
by clicking the "Online" key at ICQ User Menu.
Invisible Mode
No one will see you at ICQ if you have chosen "Invisible" mode. Your friends
will not ever see you online unless you send them messages by your own self
