Starting ICQ

To start, you'd first download the program at ICQ official site and get yourself registered. If you want to chat with your net friends, please make sure they have installed ICQ too! 





Now ICQ99a or above versions (ICQ 2003/ICQ 5.0) have multi-lingual language support. So you can chat more comfortable with your friends at your country.



So start your registration now:
Step 1: Select the path for installation (default as C:\Program Files\ICQ)
Step 2: Input personal information (e.g email, first name & last name, etc)
Step 3: Enter your nickname

Step 4: Enter password & retype it for confirmation 
* Tip: You can click "Auto Save Password" box for easy reference
Step 5: Select your privacy level (e.g. "Your authorization is required" = anyone must have your approval before adding into your contact list)

Step 6: A unique ICQ Number (UIN) will be given to you
*** Please memorize it for connecting to ICQ later on! ***





Step 7: Press "Next" & you're successfully registered!
* Tip: Click "Retry" if the connection doesn't work
